Our office
A small practice with a lot of heart
Alphabet Soup is a small Norwalk practice dedicated to helping children achieve their full potential to speak clearly and confidently and to eat safely and comfortably.
Bonnie Wilder and Malka Strasberg bring decades of experience in oral motor, feeding, speech, and myofunctional therapy to their practice. We work with children from birth through young adults, creating individualized sessions that meet each client where they are, and effect small changes that add up to big progress.
We believe therapy should feel comfortable, supportive, and fun. Sessions are one-on-one, with time to work at each child’s own pace. We value working closely with our clients’ families and with doctors, dentists, and orthodontists.
Progress isn’t always about perfecting a new sound or skill; sometimes it’s about trying a new food, saying a new word, or simply feeling a little more confident. We measure progress by looking at all the things that matter to each child and family, and we celebrate every meaningful step forward.
Our specialties
Muscle-based care for speaking and eating
Everything we do comes back to the same set of muscles — the ones a child uses to form sounds, to chew and swallow safely, and to rest the tongue and lips at the right place. Here is where each of those lives.
-
Pediatric Speech Therapy
Individualized therapy for speech delay, articulation, childhood apraxia and dyspraxia, phonological and motor speech disorders, and overall speech intelligibility.
What we treat in speech -
Feeding Therapy
Support for picky eating, food refusals and aversions, texture transitions, gagging, chewing and drinking skills, and the move from tube feeding to eating by mouth.
What we treat in feeding -
Oral Motor & Myofunctional Therapy
Muscle-based therapy for tongue thrust, open mouth breathing, drooling and tongue positioning — coordinated with your child’s dentist or orthodontist.
